Keeping the Faith

Nowhere to go...
Don't know what to do...
Hear me, please...
I'm losing hope.
Keep me with YOU.
Let me hold unto You...
Carry me...
Don't leave me...
I'm in in despair...
I'm lost.

Proud to be...

I am a VOLUNTEER!

And am proud of it! ;)

Eversince back home, I have always been involved in civic works (usually with my partner in crime when it comes to these things - NANG GEMMA AGUDO!).

My philosophy in life states that, "you don't have to be in a "position" to be able to help..." though that might change - depends on the political decisions we will be taking few years from now. Mmmmmhhh...campaign anyone? Hehe...

Anyway, I'm glad to have found an organization close to my heart - FRIENDS OF CANCER PATIENTS - where I can spare some of my time and feel happy 'bout it! Aside of course from meeting more people of different nationality! I have been an advocate especially of Breast Cancer Awareness since I was introduced to the cause of the late MS. ROSA MENESES.

You get nothing from being a VOLUNTEER, really, (you even have to spend on your own most of the time!) but it's the self-fulfillment...and just to clear things, I have no CANCER or anybody in my family does (God Forbid!). So, one does not necessarily have to be afflicted to join something as long as you believe in its cause.

How 'bout you? Is there any organization, charity or foundation that is close to your heart? Why not volunteer and "feel" the difference...

From my Inbox...

Let me share another inspiring one from my "Inbox"...oh, well, guess need it more than anyone else here...still read on!

May GOD answer all our prayers...Amen.

When you're persistent you find the power to hold on
and persevere in spite of anything. You're able to
overcome every obstacle and you do all that's
necessary to succeed.
Persistence does not mean you will not fail. but
it does mean that when you feel defeated you rise
above your disappointment and keep trying. Instead
of giving up when all seems hopeless, you find a way
to keep going. You simply refuse to give up.
Great things will come your way when you persist
and endure what seems possible. No, it's not easy,
but remember big achievements require time.
Be patient and don't give up, you can persevere and
you will succeed.
Fighting against despair will usually just serve to deepen and prolong it.
Instead of fighting against despair, overwhelm it with joy.
The best way to move away from something negative is to move toward something positive.
For every ounce of discouragement that comes your way, respond with a pound of positive, joyful living.
Rather than being overly concerned about what you're fighting against,
find yourself something to live for.
Put your time and energy in a positive, productive,
creative, life-affirming direction.
Imagine what would happen if you were disrespectful,
rude and insulting to another person,
and yet that person offered you nothing but kindness,
respect and gratitude in return. How long would you be able to
maintain such a negative approach?
Probably not very long, for your negativity would soon be overwhelmed
by the sincere kindness being returned to you. In the same way,
you can overwhelm the negativity that comes your way.
Respond to life with kindness, with joy, with positive,
productive action and enthusiasm.
Overwhelm the difficult world with goodness and joy.

Angel Uriel

My Guardian Angel's name is Uriel.

I learned it from a store in SM Fairview selling angel figurines some years ago. You have to give your birthdate stuff like that for them to enable to know who's yours.

Today I learned that Angel Uriel is depicted with an open hand holding a flame. He brings unconditional love -a great gift to humanity. He transmutes lower vibrations into frequencys of higher vibration. Therefore he is an angel of transformation.

His name means"light of God" and his virtues are peace, stability and inspiration.

They say, you can pray to Angel Uriel if you have trouble sleeping or are feeling tense or anxious. He is here to release any fears or worries you may have concerning a situation. He can give you the determination and asssist you to transform any aspect of your life. You can also call on Uriel if you have a lack of confidence or health issues relating to the digestive tract.

Here's how to pray to him...

Uriel assist me to calm my inner conflicts so that I may calm the outer

Uriel purify my solar plexus from all anxiety and nervous tension

Uriel release my fears so that I may move forward.

How 'bout you? Do you know your Angel's name?

Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God's love commits me here. Ever this day be at my side to light, to guard, to rule and guide. Amen.
